Built on best-practice questioning, it focused on listening rather than selling, inviting supporters to share what motivates their generosity and how they want to be involved. The donor-centred approach generated leads for regular giving, major gifts, and bequests, while a gentle ask within the covering letter created an immediate opportunity for support.
